
Hi, I’m Proshat
I’m a psychologist specialising in self-worth and self-love.
My training includes a Bachelor’s and two Master’s degrees in Psychology, from Erasmus University and VU Amsterdam, along with EMDR training and extensive mindfulness experience.
My approach is heart-centered, and grounded in compassion. I care deeply and hold space for you, just as you are.
I don’t believe in just looking at diagnostic labels. I want to know who you are and what truly matters to you.
It’s my joy to help you feel confident in yourself and worthy of what you truly want.
My self-worth journey
For years, I struggled with feeling like I wasn’t enough.
I was constantly waiting for someone else to make me feel worthy. Combined with emotionally turbulent teenage years, everything came crashing down when I started college.
I eventually dropped out, because I simply couldn’t keep it together anymore and fell into a deep, dark depression.
One day, while scrolling through Tumblr, I came across a quote that stopped me in my tracks:
“If you are sick of fighting with yourself, it must mean there are two of you. The you who is fighting, and the you that you are fighting with.”
Those words sparked something in me. Without registering it, I had just taken the first step on my mindfulness journey; Realizing that you are not your thoughts, but the one observing them.
Through mindfulness, I learned to witness my thoughts rather than become entangled in them. And I had a life-changing realization: I don’t have to believe my thoughts.
I also became aware of my constant need for validation, and how my self-worth felt entirely out of my control. I felt stuck in a deep sense of unworthiness and an endless cycle of self-criticism.
Gradually, As I started to challenge my beliefs something profound began to happen. It felt as though I was waking up from a long, painful dream. For the first time, I experienced real joy and a deep sense of inner peace.
This transformation changed everything. I reconnected with who I was beneath layers of fear and doubt and found the freedom to live a life that felt true to me.
At my core, I now know my worth.
And I believe, with all my heart, that you can rediscover yours too.
