ABOUT
Welcome, I’m glad you’re here.
If you’ve found yourself here, you might be feeling weighed down by self-doubt, overthinking, or simply longing to feel more at home in yourself.
My work as a psychologist, together with my own journey through low self-worth and depression, has shaped the way I understand healing and what it truly means to come home to yourself. You can read my story below.
My training includes a Bachelor’s degree and two Master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology and HR & Business Psychology, along with EMDR training and years of mindfulness practice.
So often, we believe there is something wrong with us. That we should be further along. Happier. More confident. More successful.
I don’t believe that’s true. I believe that even when it feels like something has gone wrong, you may be exactly where you need to be.
I write about self-worth, emotional healing, mindfulness, self-compassion, navigating life’s challenges, and finding your way back to yourself.
More than anything, I hope these words remind you that there was never anything wrong with you to begin with, and that you are not alone in what you’re carrying.
With love, Proshat
My self-worth journey
For years, I struggled with feeling like I wasn’t enough.
I believed my worth depended on how others saw me. After years of emotional ups and downs, everything came crashing down when I started university.
I reached a point where I could no longer keep up with studying, working, or even the simplest parts of everyday life. I ended up stepping away from my studies during that time and fell into a deep, dark depression.
One day, while scrolling through Tumblr, I came across a quote that stopped me in my tracks:
“If you are sick of fighting with yourself, it must mean there are two of you. The you who is fighting, and the you that you are fighting with.”
Those words sparked something in me. Without realizing it, I had taken my first step into mindfulness. For the first time, I began to see that I was not my thoughts, but the one observing them.
As I continued practising mindfulness, I learned to watch my thoughts come and go without becoming entangled in them.
Then I had a life-changing realization:
I don’t have to believe my thoughts.
I also became aware of my constant need for validation and how my self-worth felt entirely out of my control. I felt stuck in a deep sense of unworthiness and an endless cycle of self-criticism.
Gradually, as I started to challenge my beliefs, something profound began to happen. It felt as though I was waking up from a long, painful dream. For the first time, I experienced real joy and a deep sense of inner peace.
This transformation changed everything. I reconnected with who I was beneath layers of fear and doubt and found the freedom to live a life that felt true to me.
As I began to trust myself again, I found my way back to university, where I followed my intuition and chose the path that eventually led me to become a psychologist.
Because of that journey, I no longer see healing as fixing something that is broken. I see it as helping people reconnect with their inherent worth, so they can live with greater trust in themselves and create a life that truly reflects it.
At my core, I now know my worth.
And I believe, with all my heart, that you can rediscover yours too.
